"Me Time" - You NEED It!

You unknowingly spend 15 minutes spiking and gelling hair, cuffing jeans just right, and making sure his shirt is stainless.

"There." Finally through. A masterpiece if I do say so myself. He sure is a cutie...I wonder if he could model....Hmm, might have to check....

"MOM! Are you going LIKE THAT??"

SNAP! It's back to reality.

Holy Smokes it's time to go!! We are going to be late! (and you are NOT presentable).

So you rush off, throw your hair up in a ponytail or clip - pull a few wisps of hair in an effort to make that somewhat cute.

Then it is off to the closet. You grab your favorite tried and true, "I've seen better days" shirt and throw on 1 of 3 decent fitting, worn out, bottoms because after 6 years your still using the "it's baby weight" excuse" to try to make yourself  feel better.

Sound familiar?

Most moms are nodding like crazy because you know that when it comes to your man and your kids looking good OR you looking good, somehow YOU always leave the house look like a shipwreck.

You need to stop Mom. RIGHT NOW. STOP.

Take a deep breath. Feels good, huh?

Look at yourself in the mirror - YES I'm serious! DO it.
What do you see? Or better yet WHO do you see?

So many of us, despite loving our lives and our family, lose ourselves in the day to day grind of keeping the boat (or ship in some cases) a float. Your looking back at this woman who is tired, overweight (or underweight), and dressed like a hobo and you don't know who she is because it happened so FAST.

Life, kids, and family happened - which is great, but you put yourself on the back burner.

It's been too long. As one mom to another - you DESERVE some much coveted "me time".

Believe it or not, you are NOT super woman, and trying to be super woman is going to age you. And NO amount of Olay can get those years back.

So take time for YOU today.
Whenever your man gets home or if you're doing it solo, when the kids go to bed - lock yourself in the bathroom and pamper yourself. Give you hair an amazing deep shampooing. Have a hot towel ready to wrap it up in. Do your hands and feet - chipped nails/polish is NOT cute - it screams "I don't care!"

Shave your legs and pits for gosh sake! This isn't Tarzan or Land of the Lost! :D

And lastly, do what you need to do to love yourself again. I mean really love everything about yourself - looks weight, performance as a wife, mom, friend, etc.

When your body and spirit starts fading into someone you don't recognize - your whole life will suffer.

It's time to change.

You're an amazing, beautiful woman - Let it shine!
